System Description

The Bilge Filter System incorporates a unique filter element which removes oil from water. This easily replaceable filter element is recommended to be changed occasionally and disposed of in the same manner as absorbent socks or booms. Average filter element replacement is approximately two to four months depending on bilge conditions. The filter element housing is constructed from corrosion proof reinforced polypropylene and is designed to be mounted to the inner transom area of the boat with it's included stainless steel bracket. The Bilge Filter System kit installs in less than an hour and is easily maintained.

Installment Options

Option A: If your boat currently has a single automatic bilge pump system, it is recommended that the Bilge Filter System kit be purchased and installed. Once installed this becomes the boats main automatic bilge pump system. The boats current bilge pump system is made a secondary system by remounting it's float switch. The Bilge Filter kit comes complete ready to install, including a diaphragm bilge pump, automatic float switch, and all the necessary hardware. 

Option B: For installation in large boats that have multiple bilge pump systems and the main system incorporates a diaghragm type bilge pump, the bilge filter assembly can be purchased separate. The Bilge Filter assembly would be installed in the boats main operating bilge pump system. This bilge filter assembly includes the filter housing, filter bracket, two filter elements, and needed hardware.

A diaphragm bilge pump is recommended for all applications to insure optimum filter performance and reliability.
